Sushi Oribe is currently looking to hire a hard-working and dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our growing business.
Ideal candidates should possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:
Experience
A minimum of one year’s experience as a cook or chef preferably at a Japanese restaurant or high-end restaurant.
Skills & Attributes
- Good kitchen knife skills
- Ability to work well under pressure especially during peak hours and busy periods
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate well with the assistant chef and service crew
- Organised with a keen eye for detail
- Passionate about providing exceptional standards of service
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, meats, and fish
- Maintain kitchen order and hygiene by ensuring the cleanliness of tables, counters, and all work areas
- Oversee general cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and utensils
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens and grills
